Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart:

and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Matthew 11:28-30 (KJV)

INFORMATION

We ask that you continue to pray for our heater situation. In addition, please prepare to partake of Communion at home. The men of GEBC are working diligently to prepare an area that will be warm  and accommodate a small group of worshippers on the second Sunday in December.

OFFERING ENVELOPES

You may pick up your envelopes at the church beginning on Saturday, December 11th (9:30 A.M. - 1:00 P.M.) We will inform you of other pick-up days and times.

COVID-19

Please continue to practice the CDC recommendations to be safe and avoid contracting COVID-19. There is a new variant of the disease that transmits easier than the previous versions. Masks, hand washing, limiting social gatherings are still necessary.

Booster shots are recommended and available for those who are 6 months past their second original Covid vaccine. Research the recommendation for those who received the Johnson & Johnson single shot.

Vaccines are available for youth 5-11 years of age. Make the choice that is best for you and your family members.

SAFETY

The City of Philadelphia reached a grim statistic of 508 homicides, as of this writing. A large portion of these are youth. We pray for a turnaround of this senseless violence. We pray for God's mercies to cover all of us: in our homes, on public streets, in our cars, on the job, at school, etc.

We are now into the holiday shopping season. Please pay attention to your surroundings in parking lots, when entering and leaving your vehicle. Now is not the time to walk around oblivious to those around you. Let someone know what your itinerary is for the morning and afternoon. Check in with them when you return home from that outing. Lock your car doors as soon as you get in. Have your house keys in hand before exiting your vehicle.

Packages should be placed in the trunk and out of sight. Don't leave your handbag unattended in a shopping cart. It is best to carry a crossbody handbag when shopping.
